Sourozenci Howard a Juliette spolu se svým strýcem Chrisem čelí hrozbě vystěhování z domova. Jejich rodný ostrov Isle de Jean Charles v Louisianě vlivem klimatické krize mizí pod hladinou moře. Oblast se tak stává první obcí v USA, kterou se tehdejší vláda rozhodne přesídlit do vnitrozemí. Časosběrnou metodou je zaznamenáváno otálení místních obyvatel s odjezdem a jejich loučení se s poklidným životem rybářské komunity. Stupňující se údery hurikánů sice neohrozí rodinnou soudržnost a houževnatost, přesto je hrdinům snímku jasné, že brzy o svoje domovy přijdou navždy. Siblings Howard and Juliette, together with their uncle Chris, face the looming threat of being forced from their home. Using time-lapse footage, the film captures the residents’ hesitation to leave and their farewells to the quiet life of their fishing community.
