Women in gaming culture

Pixelarchiv in cinema:
Women in gaming culture

What is it like to be a woman who makes games, reviews them, or teaches about them in Czechia? Is it an advantage, a curse, or are women's experiences no different from men's? Have we moved on from the sexist 90s? Are there differences between women in gaming culture at home and abroad?

At the round table, female game developers, managers, and journalists from different generations, with diverse backgrounds and different professional careers, will discuss their experiences. Together, they will offer their perspectives on working in the gaming world—from the daily challenges associated with sexism to feelings of belonging, from stereotypes to the changes that have (hopefully) been taking place in recent years. The aim is to show a perspective that differs from that of the male majority, a perspective that is still not widely heard in the media and is not reflected in domestic publications about brave founding fathers.

We cordially invite all game developers, game design students, and gamers to attend the event!

Admission is free, but if you want to secure your seats in the hall, please register on our website. You can follow the latest news about the event on the Facebook event page or on our Instagram.
