I studied Theory and History of Film and Audiovisual Culture at Masaryk University in Brno and Audiovisual Studies at FAMU, where I specialized in archival preservation and film restoration. I have been working at the Národní filmový archiv as a restorer and curator since 2015. In addition to digital restoration and care of historical film materials, I am interested in the relationship between cinema and film technology. As part of a research project dedicated to the multimedia theatre Laterna magika, I have been researching, processing and making accessible the film materials that the Národní filmový archiv has taken over from the theatre in previous years. I have published in Czech and international periodicals and lectured on the history of film technology, colour in cinema and film preservation and restoration at Masaryk University in Brno and Charles University in Prague.
