I am a graduate of Bohemia and Film Studies at the Faculty of Arts MU. In 2009-2017 I worked as an assistant professor at the Institute of Film and Audiovisual Culture at the Faculty of Arts, MU and I also received my habilitation in the field of film theory and history. As a film historian, I focus on nonfiction and documentary films and short film formats in general. I have been working with the Národní filmový archiv since 2009 - first as editor of Ilumination, then as head of the then Research Department from 2013-2017, leading the institution's professional and publishing activities and becoming editor-in-chief of Ilumination, which I still am today. After my maternity leave, I have been working at the NFA on Illumination, research and support for research and publication activities. In 2014, the Národní filmový archiv published my monograph Atoms of Eternity. Czech Short Films of the 1930s-50s; I have edited or co-edited a number of other books. Together with Kateřina Svatoňová, I am co-author of The Dictator of Time. (I am a lecturer at the Department of Film Studies, Faculty of Arts, Charles University.
