I studied Valorisation of Film Heritage (Restoration and Curation) at the University of Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis. Since 2004, I have been working as a curator and restorer at the Národní filmový archiv. Here I am dedicated to the restoration by photochemical and digital means and to the identification of films, especially from the early period of cinema. At the same time, I deal with the dyeing of film according to the original methods: viraging, toning and their restoration on safe film material. I also contribute to the presentation of film restoration at various forums in the Czech Republic and abroad. I lecture on restoration and the application of colour at the University of Paris 8 and at Masaryk University in Brno. I have published studies on the practice and ethics of film restoration, and I am a consultant in these fields on two expert committees of the International Federation of Film Archives FIAF.
