In 1999 I graduated from the Department of History and Theory of Art at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Bratislava and the Department of Painting Restoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. I extended my professional focus on the preservation, conservation and presentation of cultural heritage by completing studies at the Academia Istropolitana Nova and at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University, where I successfully defended my PhD in 2009 on the history and theory of the history of conservation-restoration in Czechoslovakia. I have worked as a consultant in the same field at the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, at the Institute of Contemporary History of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, at the Federation of Jewish Religious Communities and at the non-profit organization Zámek Liteň, z.s. Since 2004, I have been lecturing on art history, history and theory of conservation-restoration and preservation of monuments at UMPRUM in Prague. In 2015 UMPRUM published my book Against Time. I have been cooperating with the National Film Archive since 2017. From 2020 to 2021 I held the post of Director of the Audiovisual Collections Section, and I am currently involved in methodological coordination and research on preservation, conservation-restoration and collection management at the NFA. I am an active member of national and international professional organizations, especially ICOM-CC, and have published in national and international publications and press.
