About the film distribution
The script for the film was prepared by Zdeněk Štěpánek and Otakar Vávra for Nationalfilm during the occupation in 1940-1941. The project was stopped due to financial difficulties. The film was only realized in nationalized production. Production and filming began in the autumn of 1945.
