About the film distribution

The goal of this digital restoration was to make the film available in a form similar to how the audience may have seen and heard it when it was first released in 1932.

Film materials preserved by the Národní filmový archiv, Prague served as sources for the digitization: the image was digitized from the duplicate negative and three positive prints, the sound was digitized from the duplicate negative and the positive print.

One of the opening credits, which has survived in incomplete form, has been digitally reconstructed and labeled NFA 2026.

The digital restoration of this film, funded from the donation of Milada Kučerová and Eduard Kučera, was carried out in UPP and Soundsquare studios by the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival under the supervision of the Národní filmový archiv, Prague. The restoration was done in 2025–2026.
