I am a graduate of Charles University in Prague - scientific information and library science. I have been practicing this field in combination with film since 1982 (Czechoslovak Film Institute, Czech Film Institute, NFA) and I still enjoy it. For many years I have been the head of the NFA Library Collective, focusing on making the library's collections and information in the field of film and on selection languages accessible. In 2000, I introduced an automated library system and its setup from a film perspective, including an online version for the professional community, into the NFA Library's practice. For over twenty years, I have been systematically developing and expanding the professional content of the NFA Digital Library. I am the principal investigator of a project aimed at preserving endangered documents and making them available on new media 2001-2020 (VISK7). Along with managing the Library's information system and its databases, I am involved in collection profiling, acquisition of electronic information resources in the field of film, information lessons, grants, and collaboration with art libraries.
