I graduated in Archival Studies and Theory and History of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University in Olomouc, and then completed my doctoral studies in Czech History at the same university. In the past I worked at the Regional Gallery of the Highlands in Jihlava, the Jewish Museum in Prague, the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. I am a member of the Editorial Board of the Museum of Memory of the XXth Century. Since November 2020 I have been the head of the Department of Filmography and Cataloguing at the NFA. Professionally, I have been involved in research on Czechoslovak history for a long time and in various contexts, focusing on the years 1939-1989; I regularly participate in conferences in the field and have published a number of scholarly studies.
