About the film distribution
The aim of the digital restoration was to make the film as close as possible to the way it was seen by the audience when it was first shown in 1969. The film therefore retains elements that were created during filming or laboratory processing and are therefore evidence of the technology and creative processes of the time.
The film was digitally restored in 2019 by the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival at Universal Production Partners and Soundsquare studios in Prague, in collaboration with the National Film Archive and the State Cinematography Fund.
