About the film distribution
Filming began during the German occupation in Nationalfilm with Lída Baarová as Fróny. Originally, the film was directed by J. A. Holman. Then the filming was stopped. After the war, there were changes in the screenplay. The main female character was re-cast and the film was directed by Martin Frič.
