I joined the Národní filmový archiv in 1985 and gradually moved to the department that is now called the Film Collections Department. Here I work as a restorer. After the necessary training, a course at the ÚPF in Klánovice and professional practice at the Barrandov Film Laboratories, I started working with all types of 35mm film materials on safe and flammable bases. Within the department I coordinate the work activities in the editing rooms, I participate in periodic checks of positives and negatives, detailed technical descriptions of materials before digitization, in the preparation and registration of acquisitions, in control screenings, I perform synchronisation checks of the negative image with sound. I participate in film restoration and reconstruction. I train new colleagues from our and other departments and I am one of the lecturers of the Projectionist Course.
